Frequently asked questions
Can I manage more than albums?
Yes. Photo Stream Assistant covers photos, tags, albums, collections, groups, favorites, and broader management workflows.
Can I see what was recently posted to my groups?
Yes. Groups has Recent uploads, as My Feed does for the people you follow: the photos lately added to every group you belong to, newest first, each with its photographer, its group and when it was added. Your own photos are left out. Photos that arrived since your last visit are marked New, with an Only new filter, and you choose which groups feed it, to leave the busiest out. Fave them, add them to galleries or play them as a slideshow. Flickr gives apps no feed for groups, so the app reads each group's latest additions; with many groups this takes a few seconds.
Does this help with large Flickr libraries?
That is one of the main reasons to use it. The app is designed around faster control for larger libraries.
What happens if an upload fails halfway?
The batch carries on. Each file has its own line and state; one Flickr refuses for the moment is waited out and tried again, and one it refuses outright is marked with Flickr's own message. At the end you see how many made it, and only the files that did not stay in the list, so pressing Upload again cannot send a photo that is already on Flickr. A file already on Flickr is flagged before it is sent, with a choice to send it anyway: one the app uploaded before, whatever title it was given, or a photo in your library with the file's name, including one that went up minutes ago. Privacy starts at your Flickr default for new uploads, as on flickr.com.
What is free versus paid?
The free app browses and edits your whole library, in batches of 10 photos. Pro Unlock is for larger libraries: unlimited batches, bulk geotagging, view insights and album curation.
